These cams do not require upgrading anything else in the head. If you have a ported and polished head, you might actually want to use a higher lift/longer duration cams set to take advantage of the extra flow capability. I actually think these cams are perfect for a stock head and either a 16G or Star turbo kit turbo. If you do not have cam gears, don't buy them. They aren't necessary with these cams. If you have cam gears, just set them at 0/0.
