The external wastegate flange is kind of high. I'm using this wastegate http://www.extremepsi.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=16320&cat=0&page=, you think I would have problems with hood clearance?

from the top of the wg flange to the manifold it's less than 1.5 inch
I can't and won't vouch for the fitting of brand X or Y turbocharger or wastegate however

Alain...while i don't discount your manifold making abilities (you have great rep on the site) i was turned off by the rather small hole for the turbo....that might be your hold-up on this one...maybe if you explained it to people, i'm no expert but i would think that would create more back pressure in the manifold itself and slow spool up time...maybe i'm wrong..your thoughts???

i think ur looking at the wrong hole there bud. have you seen a t3 flange in person before?


EDIT: and alain, im have new turbo plans, so if this doesn't sell, put it on the back burner for a little bit. i will buy it.

yeah i have and it's a rather large oval/rectangle not a 1.5" hole...thats not a T3 flange...it's a piece of metal with a hole drilled in it..

it's a pîece of metal with the dimension of a t3 flange, with bolt holes at the same place as a t3 flange ... if it smells like a duck looks like a duct, fly like a duct ....

yes it's a 1.5 inch opening
why ?
because I'm a stong beliver in keeping the pipping size with an equal diameter and letting the gas expand inside the turbo and not just before the turbo ...
it works better than the traditional (and cheaper) piece of square tubing between a flange and a manifold
and it's a more compact design too

2 to 3 times a week I have PMs and emails asking for a quote for a manifold to use with a crappy T-25 or 14b

and yet $250 SHIPPED seems like too much to start a project THE RIGHT WAY with a manifold made for a real turbocharger
