Hey guys take it easy on Dave....
If you have ever been in business or know how they work you would understand why Dave may have a higher price. The higher volumn you order, the cheaper price you are able to sell them at. I am not talking orders for 5,10, or even 20 units rather in the 100's. These other links that offer the wires at 32.00 my be ordering 100 sets from taylor and therefore can pass the deal on to the customer. The smaller business you are the harder it is to get better pricing because you typically order what you have a demand for. Most smaller shops dont stock items therefore dont order in surplus.
Daves dealer parts are a different story. He is a private business therefore gets the parts at resale price and turns around and marks them up for sale. Now the amount he marks them up is his choice, he can do say 5.00 or he can decide to sell at retail. That is up to him.
Sometimes you need to understand that a shop must mark up what he pays to cover Daily costs as well as a profit margin. Most people do not understand this and throw a fit.
Now also take into consideration that Dave may be getting his parts from another supplier who has an account direct with Taylor. That distributor parolly marks up parts that they order hundereds of. The more middle men you have the higher the cost. Dave may not beable to establish an account with taylor because they require x amount of orders each month and his volumn does not satisfy that, hence he goes to a distributor.
Here is an example from when i was still in the shop. Had a car in for a Alt job and it was a simple one, right on top. Charger he 1 hour labor to test the battery and verify the alt was bad, including R+R of the alt. Book time is usually 1.5 hours i was in the mood for a favor. As a shop we paid 98.xx for the part and list was 188.00. We charge retasil price on our parts. The lady overheard me tell the owner what the prices were...my mistake really must close doors from now on. She threw a fit when she got the bill. We gave her the Alt for 135.00 and told her never to come back, go to the dealer from now on (dealer Alt). Also told her to take a business class at junior college because if we continue to sell parts this cheap we will not be here to honor the Alt warrenty.
People need to understand how business operates and the cost of doing business. You obviously understand how to search for the better deal.
Sorry to be so long and for those weak at heart i am not bitching just trying to explain how things work, and yes it is possible dave is inflating the cost to all hell i realize that.
God Damn it dave i paid 60.00 for my fucking wires.

I am not gettign them at that cost.. by far.. I did not dig into detail... I have bought mine and someother peoples wires from my warehouse.. and well I know they have it in stock no problem on the size of the order and that too is what counts.. I could do this and find out that these places dont have enough in stock due to their lower prices...
so that being that you also get the satisfaction of knowing what comes from me is gaurenteed I am easy to deal with.. and I have NEVER left a customer low if a part came from my suplier in bad shape (or the wrong one shipped).. ask those who have done business with me they will tell you.. that a little more cash is worth the customer satisfaction that I give with all my parts.. and all my customers.. even those who have never bought from me but ask abou prices or help.. they all they that I am gratious to help.. I dont turn anyone down for any reason.... I try to lend my helping hands in any way..
remember I do this as a side job now.. no building no stock so I cant get "dealer" prices.. I have to go with what I can get.. but then again I am not ALWAYS the best priced.. but I am not always the worse either..
u give and u take.. but in the end regardless if u purchase form me your satisfaction is gaurenteed
