You're smoking crack. Anyone can get an OEM CF hood for $500 shipped all day long. Why not do 40 $15 tickets. You still make at least $100 out of the deal and it isn't like you have to do any work.

it is a 500.00 hood plus since I dont know who will win shipping could be upwards of 200.00 so that is a 700.00 +

so if I do 30.00 that would be a 50.00 profit if that.... besides its not like u are paying 500.00 u could buy 3 tickets and only spend a bit over 100.00 shoot with the GSX brake kit there were a few people who bought 10+ tickets... they spent well over 150.00 when they could buy it for 300.00

well we got two ways to look at it. if, you start the cost of tickets at 15 more people would buy them so that would mean....say 100 people put in for the raffle, 1500. now if we look at it by what you want....40...and 100 of us pay, you've just made 4000 minus the cost of the hood which would leave you with 3300 profit from that. that is what a believe a majority of us are looking at. a buddy here had a raffle for a set of rims and tires....any set at no more than 1000......he sold 143 tickets at 10 a ticket. though he didn't make much in profit from the raffle, he drew up major business in this effort because he didn't over charge for tickets......atleast that's how I look at it. If you're gonna charge 40 a ticket....I got better things to spend that on.

40 a ticket is a ridiculous price for a no name carbon fiber hood.Id do 10 but no more. If it was a well known hood company and shop then maybe 15. Thats about it though.

but see if I do 10.00 bux a ticket and sell a 100 tickets I will get the same margin for cost... the only thing is I dont think there is a 100 people here who would get a ticket... it just dont sem that way.... when I did the GSX brake raffle it took 2 weeks to sell 25 tickets and they were only 15 a piece

you can charge whatever you want for the tickets, I was mearly saying there would be more interest if you sold more tickets at a lower cost, that way if some one does have 80 dollars to spend on the raffle they can, with a greater chance of winning.

Another factor of if I'll buy a ticket is how much gets donated to 2gnt.com Dont get me wrong, its an awesome idea but when the site gets money we ALL win.

That sounds like the best idea yet. That benefits EVERYONE. You make some cash by raffling it, we get a chance to win it, and the site gets supported. :thumbsup

Its not like every person is going to buy JUST one. If the cost per ticket is 10 dollars, people will buy multiple tickets and those people who get more tickets will have a better probability of winning, making it worth your time.....:+

Hell I would buy at least one if they are $10, probably more. A raffle is a good idea, the seller gets his money and the buyer gets a great deal. Maybe I should raffle off my car. Trying to get $1250 for an OEM cf hood when you can get an Invader or Evo one from VIS for a little over $500 shipped is reaching. Spread the word to get more tickets sold.

I got a great idea. Use one of these football block things. It would be $10 a block, once the grid is filled, randomly place the numbers. Pick any NFL game the following week, then we could all watch the score. What ever the last digits of the final score was would determine the winner. So if Team A won 23-17, I would win. Just an idea.
