I just need something old that turns on and has a working serial port. It's just for 2 programs for my car so I don't want to spend a lot. Thanks

I have like 5 or 6 spare laptops (most of them, you need to had a HD, memory, battery, and your set)..

I have 1 NEC, and a 1 Compaq working...

They will serve your purpose, this isn't really for high end programs, but it will serve your purpose..

I am open to trades too..

I can get you toshibas for 250.

Also I have an Hp omnibook 4550. dvd, floppy 10 gig Hd , 256 ram . does not have windows installed. all the components are working... just with the classes and such I dont have time to work on it. Planned on selling it for 400+ when ready to go. But ill let it go for 250 also.
You can probabbly get a comp shop to do it for you...

I have an old IBM with a broken screen, maybe someone can find a used shell and swap out the monitor? lol
