I am going to be selling the VT shortblock out of my 97eclipse. It has .020 JE pistons and eagle rods. Clevett main and rod bearings, balanced and blueprinetd.. If any one is interested hit me up. It has aprox 20k miles wet comp test showed 225 across the board. I need to make room for the 2.4.

Took a ride with this motor still in. Pulls hard and feels solid. To me it makes you feel like you can do anything you want to it and not worry about a rod poking your eye out. Wish I could but it but the only thing I could afford right now is a vouch. Solid motor that wont crap out of you from a trusting guy = worth the asking price

i'd give good money for it. but i only got 900 right now. and i don't get paid for a week. and even then, i dunno if i could buy it. maybe in 3 weeks.

I like how every one thinks how they can get an engine for $1600 from vt. First off they are like $1700+ now and mine when it was done came to like almost $1700. Second you are going to have to pay $150 to ship your shit there and $150 to have it shipped back. Then you have the cost of a spare block and crank. So now you are at 2100+ dollars. I would rather use this engine as an anchor then sell it for 600 bucks. Sorry but get realistic people..

i believe they are up to 1800 now. or maybe still at 1745. plus around 180 or so to ship it. now th eone i got i had crower rods put in instead of of the eagles and it was an extra 500. so i paid like 2345 for mine. either way asking 600 for a built block that cost 1800 brand new... little low. i think his 1300 is about what he should be asking. maybe a bit lower but not much less than say 1200.

just wiat....someone will buy it... give me 3 weeks or so and it will be me.....

Well forget me selling it for 1300. Anyone want it for $1100 as is? Still had good compression and not cylinder wall damage. Detonantion is my friend and started pitting my pistons right near the intake valves. The head has some too but not bad at all. Wow this sucks ass. Might part her out now... Stay tuned

you might as well buy the whole motor. your going to pay at least 500 for what you want and another 500 at the machine shop to install, I dont see what you are thinking man.
