I am looking for a 97 eclipse or talon ecu with M/T. I prefer a Talon due to my snap on scanner only has domestic carts, but will take an eclipse one.


My current one has a suspected bad Battery temp sensor. If someone has one that they will not sell but would loan for a month then i can do that as well but i prefer to buy one.

a few? you dont know what they came off? you have a 97 look at yours. I am stuck at work and cant get the numbers till tomarrow. If you cant check by then i will look when i get home at 6am thanks man. how much are you going to want?

I was looking at some previous sold ones on ebay and the one i saw is for a 97 with P/N P05293013AC 0529 and a number on the casing is 4651711-2 I am taking this guys word so i will check mine in the AM.

Casting number: 4651711-2
right below casting number 64490

The ECU's that you have.....do you know the vin number they are programmed to? I have a feeling the P/N is the same for all years and makes. I have to ask a friend the details on the programming of a new ECU. Would you mind plugging whatever ECU you have into your car to make sure it operates ok, i would appreciate that first.

Ok yes I have a few....I have a 97 on it's way terry I charged the kid here $100.00

it should be here in a day or two...the one I have sitting next to me is from a 96.

I wanted the numbers to be sure and good thing I did now all my ECU's are numbered.

I couldn't use my car I have a afx computer...I guess the numbers may still be the same but I didn't want to risk it.

When it comes in it's yours if you can send payment....thanks

Like I said I have the one that came off my car comming back to me I sold the kid the wrong one...that is why this time I wanted to make sure...thanks for posting the numbers I do have what you need.

hey lee... i'm not quite sure if i need to send the ecu back yet. i know it's a 97 for sure, but the engine in my car still wont fire up. i'm going to keep it until i figure out what year the engine is, because i might just have the wrong wiring harness. i'll let you kow for sure tho, within the next couple days. thanks.

For the record i think i will get a spare ECU from another car. I really dont want one that has been bounced around for person to person and could be bad. I will hold off and get a Talon or eclipse locally.

If you have the LDP give me a price, i called twice yesterday you dont answer your phone and i left a message.

Terry what is an LDP??

you told me you had one? You sent me an email and told me you had one. LDP is a leak detection pump. Called LDP in most books and dealer,obd2 codes. gay a&& chiltons calls it some other name that isnt right....yea i know go figure.

It is located next to the Vapor canister with a three pin plug goingf into it. this is not to be confuse with the vapor purge solinoid that has a 2pin plig going to it. these were only on the 96-99 dsm's. I am going to the junkyard tomarrow to see if the neons have one. They had them factory but not sure if the ones in the junkyard still have them.
