44775, RE: Taylor Racing Wires 8mm Posted by SpooledupRacing, May-29-04 06:52 PM
here is some more info on the wires
Taylor's Spiro-Pro outperforms the competition in both looks and performance... at a price you can afford. Spiro-Pro is "the choice" for the street and track. It simply is the best high performance 8mm wire you can buy. Our Spiro-Wound conductor consists of a high conductivity resistor conductor spiral wound with stainless steel wire and covered with a conductive fluorocarbon material. Spiro-Pro wires provide more fire power to the spark plugs than OEM resistor core wires and still eliminate radio frequency interference (RFI) which can interfere with electronic ignitions, computer electronics, cellular telephones and stereo systems. This wire is a must if you are using a multiple spark discharge ignition system. Two layers of 100% pure silicone make for the highest temperature rated wire on the market (600°F) without need for additional sleeving. Also, 100% pure silicone keeps the wires flexible for the life of your vehicle, with bright vibrant colors for a clean, detailed look

oh ok.. I'm sorry I though u were wanting like specs etc...
well I personolly have not "used" them yet, but a few of my customers have had things like this to say:
"It took out a high end miss I had"
"the car seems to pull better all the way to 7000 instead of losing power around 6200"
"The wires have a VERY tight fit with a loud snap when the wire connects to the plug and distributor/coil"
"The wires show no signs of wear or heat mark/dry cracking etc, from being within 2 inches of the turbo even without a heat sheild"
"the nice thing is for once the Conquest gets away with a high quality wire, that does not have to be cut to fit these come EXACTLY how u need them"

James....taylor wires are some of the best right up there with the magnacores. I personally prefer taylotr over magncore. I use the Taylor custom fit 409 race wires on my 69 superbee......They are worth the money and are some of the best quality imo.
Hope this helps.

ok so this is a GP.. no minimum or maximum amount of people required.. the price goes down for the amount of people in.. so who wants to put their name to the list first? Right now we should start with the list then go from there as the day nears I will be collecting payment (unless u want to pay now to get it out of the way)

the crimp on plug will be on the coil side for sure. Ask them if the boot is the same for the 420a. If it is i want em. If not then oh well. Whichever ones you get i would prefer blue...

Yeah, Dave got me the red Tyalor 8mm wires, and before at 15 psi, I was getting a high rpm missfire using stock wires. Then just put those wires on, and it was gone..Its a nice wire, mine are red, with a black boot. I know other brands have like a grey boot or whatever, and doesnt look as good IMO..I'm very pleased with them so far. Here is a pic of the 8mm:
