Ok my oil pump is on it's last leg. It's the oem pump because I stupidly couldn't afford to have it replaced when I rebuilt my motor. So with that said, my current pump has over 140K miles on it and I need a new one. The cheapest price I found for a Melling pump is $90 + shipping. Also, how hard are they to install? Just pull the pan, pull the pump and replace? Thanks!

This is a question for a tech section, but i'll give you a quick answer - no. it isn't that easy. The opilpump is the front case of the motor, it's under the timing belt inner cover. basically, you'll have to tear down the entire passenger side of the motor.

Oh jeese. MAybe I'll jsut say F*CK it and pay the shop to do it. I'll buy the part, they install it. 7 hours labor they call for @ $60/hour = ~$420 in just labor...

I'll sell you a used 420a oilpump with 60k miles on it for $20 shipped.

Good luck putting it on though.
