35882, FS: 2.4 Block(Fully Loaded) 22K miles..... Posted by REV_GSlow, Feb-20-04 10:50 AM
I thought id post this here for a friend of mine(coworker actually). He invested in a 2.4 motor a few months back and it now parting it out. He wants to get rid of the block as soon as possible, and i thought this might be the best way to do it. The block is out of a 2001 pt cruiser, 22 thousand miles, and all parts will come along with it. He says the balance shaft chain and sproket has been removed but he still has possesion of it. Also the only faults to the block..one of the holes for the tranny bolt was broken/stripped, he has taken the block to a machine shop and has the hole welded and retapped and is now in perfect shape, and a new oil pan will have to be installed. i just thought that this should be known since he is selling it. I can furnish pictures in a few days if requested and if you are serious about buying the block, i'll have to take him my camera, have him take the pics etc etc. Asking price as of now is $300 and pretty firm. Dont reply saying my price is too high or blahdy blah, this is just a post to try and help out a friend. Thanks for the space!
We are located in Blacksburg Va, 24060 and im sure he's willing to travel up to 100 miles or so.
