34994, Solid T-Belt Tensioner Posted by TalonSpeed, Feb-11-04 07:19 AM
I have a solid Timing belt tensioner made by BlackDogMotorSports. This unit replaces the hydraulic tensioner found on the 420a (eclipse\talon\neon\avenger\sebring). This will not have to be replaced every 80k miles like the stock one, this is a lifetime tensioner.

That is the tensioner. What else is there to show.

heads up with that tensioner you have to adjust belt tension manually, which requires routing adjustments. be careful

oh, so you cant adjust it? thats why I wanted a different pic of it, b/c I couldnt see the actual dowel that adjusts the pressure on the pulley.

the screw head is the adjusting part. I ask the maker of this tensioner about how many adjustments. I was told that it should be adjusted only once, after 100 miles after initial install.
