33494, Clevite 77 main bearing kit (BIG ASS PICS!!!) Posted by DR1665, Jan-24-04 08:58 AM
I rebuilt a 95 block last summer (with help from the AZ 2GNT crew), but I purchased a set of bearings that were not for the 95 which is notched differently. This set is half Clevite, half whatever brand they carry at Napa. Guy told me they were Clevite, but they are not stamped like the Clevites are.
You can see that Howell recommends buying two sets if rebuilding a 95 engine, but I missed it and had to get them from a reliable connection at Napa here in Phoenix. Info on the bearings can be found at Howell www.howellautomotive.com/Howell/Store/catalog/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=493
My crank was not machined in any way. These are the stock size and all that. They go for $40 at Howell. I'm thinking I'll let them go for $25 shipped. FYI: I have been using the other halves of both these sets in Daisy for almost 10,000 miles now with no problems. You can see from the big ass pictures that they are good and ready to ship out ASAP. Let me know if you want to save a few bones on your rebuild. PM me or email me.
Clevites are the bearings on the left. THESE WILL NOT WORK IN A 1995 BLOCK!!!!!! I USED THOSE. :P

It sickens me that I had to buy a product with the NASCAR logo on it too. :P
