Best way to sell a car IMO is to part it out, sell all the aftermarket parts. Restore it as close to stock as possible, paint the scratched front bumper, clean the carpets, make it smell nice and sell it for $6-8k.

The person you're trying to sell to is the fairly well-off 18-25 y/o girl driver that just wants a clean, reliable, cute car. Their Dad is going to tell them not to buy it if it looks like it's ever been modded.

I know it's hard to picture your beast as a chick car, but that's who is buying them. Look in the next 2gnt you see on the road.
