I have a friend selling a set of eclipse infinity dash speakers and they are brand new(so he says). I am not sure if they were pulled from a new car or if he ordered them separately. He is an audiophile with lots of stuff.

I won't go through the hassle of buying them from him and then selling them to you. I only like to trade or give stuff to my friends here is it is something I have lying around.

Besides the pillar pod(don't need), what do you have to trade. I need an Autometer Phantom 2 1/16 voltmeter gauge, but doubt you have one to trade(nobbody is that lucky).

Not sure, but whatever it is I will cover it. It is not a money issue. If you send me a gauge I will send you the speakers.

i dont have any guages, i was going to see if it wasnt some crazy price if jersey would buy the pillar pod for that amount, after i talked it over with him of course, dont want to put words in his mouth

As long as it's a fair price for the pillar, I am in.:thumbsup

From Summit the phantom 2 1/16 voltmeter gauge costs $35 and the Gray full pillar costs $58.

Jersey could buy a gauge and send it to me. You send him the pillar and I send you the speakers. Three way if you will. We all get what we want and it seems pretty fair all around.

If you both agree, let me inspect the speakers and buy them before you ship anything. I would hate to have to fix this crazy mess that I started.

Jersey could probably have a gauge drop shipped from summit if he buys a new one. Just a thought.

Update: the speakers are actually brand new and never installed. They are 1 inch mitsu tweeters for the infinity system. I have not looked at them though. He said they have A-pillar mounting pods as well.

My guess is they were for a 1G with infinity system(guessing here) or Diamante with infinity. He said these were Eclipse/Diamante infinity tweeters. I have not looked at them and have no idea if they work for our vehicle. He is going to get back to me and tell me if they will replace the basic tiny infinity dash speakers. It would be nice if they would fit and play in the dash.

I personally have 1 inch KEF soft domes in my dash. I understand that you need the speakers to be compatible with the infinity stock system.

If you have any idea if this will work, let me know. I would hate to promise you something and it not be correct.

If this does not work out, I have another option for getting the speakers.

That is what I would want also if I was in you shoes.

I will check another source(mitsu salvage yard)on Monday. He might have a pair in stock. I will get back to you by Monday evening.

Sorry, no luck with my mitsu source. He said that they are prone to blowing and he is always out of stock.

I guess you are no worse off than when I first replied. Wish I could have helped.
