I am posting this for a friend who just bought a new eclipse and he hates the gray interior.

He already ordered black racing seats and is looking to buy everything from the black dashboard to the plastic panels..EVERYTHING!!! (except the seats of course)

He had the loot and was ready to go to the dealer to get it...and I was like WAIT...NOT SATAN!!! If you guys could hook him up, he deserves it.

His last car...type R...was stolen in nj. He had 19K invested (don't remember) in it from interior to exterior to engine.

If anyone has any pieces let me know and we'll work out a price.

I believe I'm one of the very few people left on the board with legitimate black door panels. As for the dash and other parts, I can peek around and see what I can find. Tell him to email me with some offers, I'm in Boston. My interior is getting glassed this winter, so I won't bother glassing a commodity like black panels...I'll just use grey :)

There is a dude local over by my house who has all black w/ black leather seats too. I think most if not all the 99-oz edition comes w/ all black interior.

Well I spoke to him about possibly trading his blk interior for stock grey interior plus cash. I will ask him tonight if I see him on aim.

which of our cars came with the black interior. i was under the impression that there weren't any

97-99 RS models came with black, as well as some 99 OZ's. There are no lower dash pieces made in black, or glove box, or console sides, or rear trunk pieces, or B/C pillar trim around the rear windows...only made in tan and grey and that lovely blue people keep mentioning ;)

ya didn't even need to do a search for it.

And my friend won't except painted pieces. He's a perfectionist and wants the original stock black pieces.

Hey i was in the same boat you guys were in. I hated my gray interior and didnt have lots of $ to spend on black interior. So what i did was pull out all the panels and paint them with some spray paint (like 3 coats) and then hit it with polyureathane (about 8-9 coats). Thats what i did and it looks awesome. better than stock black. it gives a shine 24/7(it looks like it is armoralled all the time). Let me know if you have any othere questions about it.

..i also do all my custum interior work. from panels al the way to new floor, ceiling, anything on the inside i do custom. so if anyone needs anyhelp ,let me know!
