i want to buy a more powerfull alternator cuz i'm just having all kinds of problems w/this right now (seems like lots of us are)
i drove home from work today w/my battery light on the entire time, of course it was raining, i was afraid i'd kill the batter if i used my lights and a/c so i did w/out for most of the way...
i know my alt belt is shot (auctualy it's on backwards right now) but i'd rather get a juiced up alt while i'm at it
well thanks

i looked at the belt a few days ago (from underneath)and i could see where it was breaking away, like part of the groove was ripped off...
and then yesterday i stopped in a parking lot to look at it, and the belt is on upside down, w/the grooves facing up and the smoothe part on the pully... i need to replace my belts so i figured that while i'm at it i could possibly do the alt w/a better one...

I am not sure what you are looking to spend but I replaced mine with one from www.4alterstart.com and have not had a problem. It has been on the car for about 6 months now. It is an exact replacement for the old one.
Here is the direct link to the alternator. It has 65 amps at 800 rpm and 135 amps at 1,600 rpm. It was a bit pricey though at $229. I purchased the alternator when I installed a larger car stereo.

Hey, im the guy you would want to see about an alternator. I can get you a rebuilt one if you want or a new one. I'll need to know the year model and make. size engine. How many amps you want. It would be best to send the alternator in to me or to the shop address. We can get you a rebuilt one usually for about 65 $'s. I can still get oyu a rebuilt one w/o you sending that one in, there will just be a core charge. let me know. E-mail me at Zwhite_@hotmail.com
