19915, FS - Prothane polyurethane engine mounts Posted by juan, Aug-06-03 02:11 PM
Selling a Prothane polyurethane engine mount kit. These inserts are harder than the Energy Suspension ones. The disadvantage is that they generate more noise and vibration. The advantage is that they really lock the motor down, so all the power goes to the wheels and not into flexing the drivetrain. You will not experience wheelhop with these installed.
These parts are really for serious racers only. Equal benefits both for drag strip and road course.
A product pic can be seen here:

I used the front and back mounts for a while, but took them out because I had some loose component somehere that resonated badly at certain RPMs. Other people didn't report a big problem, so YMMV. I never installed the side mounts, so they are in brand new condition.
Can supply pics upon request.
Front and back mounts $15 Side mounts $40
All 4 - $50

The side mounts are in new, unused condition.
The front/rear mounts are physically pretty much the same condition as new, thanks to the hardness of the material. They are blackened in places, but that has no impact on their performance. I can send pics once I d/l them from my digicam, if interested.
