15377, FS: 1997 GS stage three HRC $8900 Posted by Dave_FL, Jun-12-03 06:51 PM
Well fellas the time has come for this. I have too many toys. I just bought a SEA DOO and I have a new truck. The eclipse is just sitting in my garage collecting dust. Its for sale. I still owe about $2000 on it and I have about $5500 in debt from rebuilds and parts. So i want to come out atleast even or maybe even make a couple hundred bucks. I am selling it for $8900. Heres a list of some of the mods I have done to it. And it has 9000 miles on the new motor.
suspension: tokico blues, eibach prokit, rear tenzo strut tower bar tires: 3 brand new fulda 225/50/zr16's and one older stock sized kunho
stereo: pioneer CD player
electronics and gauges: S-AFC, autometer boost, A/F, triple gauge pod and egt probe but no EGT gauge.
engine: JE pistons 8:8:1, eagle rods, JE rings, clevvette bearings, mellings oil pump, 3 angle valve job on the head with new valve seals, HRC s16g turbo, starion FMIC, custom piping, 2.5" cat back, Hayame muffler, straight pipe, 440cc injectors, AFX underdrive pulley, ARP head bolts, Greddy type s BOV, 9000 miles since rebuild. All gaskets were replaced during rebuild.
tranny: clutch masters stage 4 clutch (7000 miles)
The car is in good shape. Its clean and the paint is very nice. Small scratches on front bumper and front hood area but bra covers it up. The car has 103,000 miles but only 9000 on the engine. I ran a 14.3 @ 97 at only 8 psi. I also have every stock part I took off the car and a few extras like RS rims etc. etc. I even have my melted and blown pistons...its all yours! I just want to keep one for memories.

HMmmmmmmmmmmm, MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, GRrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... I even like the color, LOL :wary
Just our of curiosity, Y R U only running 8psi w/ a HRC Stage III? What part of FL R U in? I promise I'm really not looking 4 another Eclipse, but I would l-o-v-e a turbo :7
How ironic, would B going from a 97 Eclipse, to my current 99 Eclipse, & back 2 a 97... HMmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Good price, I trust it's a M/T ;)
P.S. What do U tell the insurance company about putting a turbo on a RS/GS, or do U just say it's a GS?
P.P.S. If so, my car would prob go up 4 sale 2 (LOL) or @least my wiffle's 95 Pontiac Grand Prix SE :thumbsup
Lemme know (curious), gotsta think about it... - J

I assume the reason Y U "only," LOL :: cough :: sorry, ran a 14.3 was Bcause U were @ 8psi... As opposed 2 HRC's advertised high 12's/low 13's @ 15psi max giving 325HP max.
P.S. I'm in South FL (Pembroke Pines) Any1 here going 2 that car show on the 21st (next week) @ MIA Conv Center?

I was running 16 psi for a while but I melted the pistons because it was very untuned at the s-afc was way to leaned out. When I was running 16 psi i beat a new mustang with nitrous and many other mods. It was probably a low 13 second car at 16 psi. I never made it to the track. The only thing it needs to run 15-16 psi is a new s-fmu. The hrc one that is on there wont allow the fuel pressure to go any lower so in order to reduce the fuel goign to the engine you need to lean it with the s-afc almost all the way down. This is VERY BAD!!! I didnt know that until now. So for the past few months I have only been running a safe 8 psi and its running pretty rich with the 440's. I just havent been motivated enough to buy the s-fmu and crank up the boost. And now I have other toys to play with. I just got my jet ski today and it hit 65mph! Now I go fast on the water. I will take some new pics of my car to show you guys some other angles.

I forgot to add that i have a $600 alarm system too. it has remote start and pages you when the alarm goes off and it tells you what s being broken into. it also has a proxy warning alarm and I also put 2 sirens on it so it would be loud. its a viper alarm.

If you were local my bro might have been up to buy it.
My bro and parents are looking for a car right in the price range.
Good luck bro
Oh, I've done a little bit more than 65mph on a jet-ski on the water (but the jet-ski wasn't stock }( )
