is that for a 95 mtx? didn't see that particular part number listed in the PNC lookup

The PNC lookup on ECUs isn't exhaustive...

how can i use that PN to figure out if it's what i'm looking for? when i asked if it was a 95mtx mreigle just said "Yes, it will work for a 95-96 mtx." (which concerns me)

The actual answer that I gave is that there was a pinout for early 95 and then there was a pinout for late 95 and all of 96. The ones I have are late 95 and all of 96.

sorry it just kinda confused me b/c my understanding was that 96's had a dual plug so they weren't really interchangeable with 95's.
I pm'd you though. I'm interested if it's still available.

i also need a 95 mtx ecu. i think its the early version because it only has one solid piece of wires to the ecu. unfortunately im not sure if they did the a/t to m/t swap or if they just threw in a auto ecu cause i am getting the code p1698. if anyone has one fo these for sale please hit me up with price including shipping. thanks.

I have two of these. Pm me if iterested. The early 95 and late95/all 96 have the same one piece connector. Thye just have slightly different pinouts. The automatic trans has its own ecu that work independent of the main ecu. The main idfference is that the Auto ecu cuts the engine at a lower rpm.

ok im guessing thats why i hit redline at 6500 instead of 7k. but im kind of confused about what you mean by pinout. will it work correctly if i swap out the ecu under the hood with the ecu you have? i just want to get rid of that p1698 code thats plauging my car. thanks.

I would research the code first. If it is something other than the ECU then it will probably come up agaian with the new ECU.

no its a p1698 which is no signal from tcu. i searched and someone said that a mtx ecu will take away that code. i hope so. but let me know how much and ill see what i can do.

Im sorry but your wrong...Not all 96's were a single plug...I have a 96 and its dual plugged...I recieved a 96 mtx ecu from bullet..and its great..just to clear that one.

I surely don't know everything but I haven't heard of a 96 ECU that was double plugged.
