11651, FS: EVO Motor clip...

How many people will REALLY want to buy one of these, if say I can get these for $2000 plus shipping.

After a long time of thinking, I decided I wanted to get one, and I found a person selling these. But he said the price would be like that if I can get atleast 3-4 people wanting to buy one too.

Thanks

what the hell could we do with an evo clip? the motor wouldn't be a bolt whatsoever on for dsm's. all i could see would be a few lil things here and ther for the 4g63 guys.

I you want Evo performance and want to spend $2k, buy my motor!!

Stuff you'll have to make or buy to put an Evo motor in your car:

Motor mounts
Tranny mounts
Tranny (no fwd evo's)
Axles
radiator
Exhaust
FMIC piping
complete wiring harness (not just the front clip)
Ecu (Japan doesn't use OBDII)
throttle cable
shift linkage
fuel line

That list is easily another couple grand, especially if you can't do all the work yourself. Use that money to buy my turbo kit! It would be cool to see someone do it, but their car will be down for months and months.

p.s. not that i want personally but That is what a front clip is for, so you have all the stuff necessarry, you know what it is dont you they sawzall the car athe the top of windshield to the door jams so all that list is supplied. and anyone with a shop or the right tools can cut the old mounts out of the 2gnt and cut and weld new mount positions in.

the prob comes in if the driveshaft wont line up where the hole for the awd fuel tank is and the fact that you will have to pull all of the 2gnt rear suspension and replace with 95+awd rear and suspension
. and if the engine, im not sure about this, is backwards to the normal 4g63 then the tranny is, meaning the driveshaft probubly spins oposite also meaning the rear end will have to be re geared.
so the engine swap itself isnt the hard crap it begins with that, and then electrical but no need for that

why doesnt somone do the 4g63 swap outof a mighty max and make it rwd. hell if you are going to have to do all that work you might as well do somthing sick like that, recess the firewall and make the mounts/ and destroy your tires. engine swaps arnt hard its the other crap added on that hurts it, do you think a 302 will fit in a mazda b2200? well ill take pics to prove it can be. why it was done? she wanted it for her show truck, but once again the problem is the mazda rear. oh k nuff of my soap box. lol

Yes I think I know what a front clip is...:rolleyes The key word there is *SAWZALL* The harness will be trashed as will the shifter cables, throttle cable and anything else that's in the way. The ECU is in the cabin so you won't get that either. Again, I'd love to see it done, but it will be nowhere near as easy as some are making it sound. I, for one, consider myself pretty adept at fabrication and wiring. I wouldn't even want to try grafting a JDM spec driveline harness with JDM spec sensors (are they different? dunno) onto a USDM spec OBDII harness and trying to make it work. Then again, I'm pretty much done modding (my own) 2gnt, so the interest in trying isn't there either.

If you can get an entire Evo front clip for $2k, I'd say that's pretty damn cheap too. Does that include shipping?

depends how its cut most of the clips i have seen are cut behind the dash also if it is a true imported clip. they take the time to move the necessary parts out of harms way when cutting. yea i agreee that 2000 is really too cheap for a evo iv and up seing how most are charging 4-6 for it. i would buy just to resell at a markup those mirage tuners are always looking to buy one.

No it does not include shipping.

The guy said that he got it pretty cheap from his friend, he did a full EVO conversion (motor, front end, RHD, and rear)...

I'm just testing the waters, to see if anyone is interested in this..
