I think Mike's question is in reference to if it has been installed. If it hasn't then it would look like the pic, but if it has, then it could very likely have some rust/dents/damage from use.

It has been installed, but it only has a few hundred miles on it, no rust, never was in the rain. Was on a garaged car. No dents either. It's still on the car.
