109087, FS: Crower 2 Cams $275 shipped. Posted by DR1665, Dec-14-07 08:10 AM
Stage 2 for 420A-powered Eclipse/Talon/Avenger/Sebring. 3/4 Race profile, designed to make power from 2000+rpm.
Re-listing.
Some background on these cams. I bought them lightly used a couple years ago. I paid $400 and my stockers for them. Also performed the removal and installation on sellers car. Had been in his first car less than six months. The lobes for cylinder 1 had some minor pitting/wear on them at that time. I was assured by the seller and more than a couple local engine builders that this was not ideal, but was nothing to prevent me from getting full use from them.
Cams were installed and ran beautifully for about two years. Installed in a brand spanking new $1700 race head from ERT with all new hardware, including PTC rollers. Upon removal of these cams recently, there was absolutely ZERO wear on these rollers. (Pics available.)
I just got off the phone with Crower directly to discuss these cams. Per Crower, if the engine runs fine (it did) and there is no wear on the rollers (there isn't), then these cams are still in great shape for many years of use.
I will get some pictures up this weekend, since I'm sure potential buyers will want to see what I'm talking about, but allow me to mention the following:
1. I do not sell junk. Period. If there was any risk associated with using these cams in another 2GNTer's car, they would be cut in half with a torch and tossed.
2. I've been trusted with an admin position on this board. I'm not going to rip anyone off by not shipping anything.
These cams are the brains behind any performance head. I ran them in a fully built 2GNT with no fuel system or tuning mods without any issue. Will require upgraded valve springs, but you DO NOT need an SAFC to use these. The car will tend to flood out for a couple days when it's cold, but once the ECU has had some time to generate it's long- and short-term fuel trims, the car will run fine. With headwork and the ability to rev beyond redline (AFX ECU or MSnS), these cams are about as close to boost or VTEC as you can get in one of these cars. At 8000rpm, back in the day, they were still pulling.
Buy with confidence. Cheers.

I disagree. Ran with stockers all the time at 10.9 comp. No issues or blips as seen on the dyno. You are welcome to but unecessary.

Well thank you, Mark! Springs would be my only concern. If the all motor king says not to worry, then slap these hogs in and enjoy the ride!
