I finally got my swap done and now I need to get some Mopar MS9417, only thing is, all the local dealerships are out of stock and can only order it by the case. Can anyone help me out? I just need 3 quarts. TIA

Use Royal Purple Synchro Max it's about $7.50 a qt and any place that carries RP products probably has it on the shelf. I've been using it for well over a year with great results. I even put some into a friend's 97 RS when I did his clutch and it stopped grinding when shifting into 2nd gear.

By the way a simple search on the site would have probebly procured you this kind of info.

I did search and from what I've read, OEM ONLY. You yourself even said in another post

You are not suppossed to use any other fluid than that which mitsu and chrysler sell for our cars. If you want to know specifics on the internals of your tranny, Terry (StarTurboTalon) rebuilds them himself. I'm sure there's nothing about them he doesn't know. -Kevin

still looking....

I recall that post. I have gone to RP since then like I said, and I love it. The tranny has never felt better. Of course Mine blowing had nothing to do with the fluid. I was launching very hard on a very sticky Gainesville Raceway with the stock differential and a built motor. I'm pretty sure the stage 3+ 6 puck ceramic clutch had a little to do with all the torque getting in there, to take a bite out of things. I snapped the spider gears in to lots of pieces. I suggest the Royal Purple stuff to anyone who asks.

Well I just got back from my 200 mile road trip to get the holy water for my 5 speed so this post can be locked up. Thanks anyway though. BTW I did go look for some of that Royal purple stuff but nobody had the right kind of that either, I hate this town!!!
