I'm interested in one but is there a way to verify that these were built right by a reputable machine shop?

MFG Racing are selling these heads, not them. I assure you that the machine shop used for all of our work does very good work. They have done many STOCK applications and many High Performance Applications. Same people that does the machine work on our 500+hp & 600+hp engines.

I'll vouch for the heads. What do you want, a gold cerificate from the machine shop or something??? lol :P

I'm sure he doesnt want a gold certificate just...just a little confidense that what he's buying isnt some junkyard peice of crap thats been washed. anybody can say they are "great"...especially someone that works there

Well I assure everyone that these & all heads are off of running motors that have no problems, if engine did have problems, the right procedures are taken so that these are perfectly functional. If I have any doubt, they are trashed.

I was just curious cuz my short block won't be built until mid-summer. So if I bought this now, I won't be able to have it put on until the short block is done. So if there happened to be a problem with the head, I wouldn't know it until then, which is a few months away.

I'm not a motor guru, but I do know if there is too much material taken off of the head to flatten it to mate with the block, that could cause some issues.

I'm just looking for some assurance that there is still plenty of material left on the bottom of it.
