Posted by optimuspeterson, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
well i have 10k in debt and need to sell my car and everything on it. I really hate doing this but, school is more important. None of these items are off the car yet, so i need to get some feedback on how much of this is wanted.

:(

I guess school is pretty damned important and so is having no debt. I'm still paying for my school loans but I have the best job in the world. ( I get to draw pictures all day) Debt sucks ass.

Anyways, check your email. If you happen to be selling the AFX UDP, I'll buy it from you.

Good luck

not selling the underdrive pulley. there a pain to take off and i would rather not do it.
105, RE: FS: parting out my car :-(
Posted by SunBlocker, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
I have a brand new underdrive pulley that you can buy. It's an AFX, it comes with the bolts needed to install, and even a 3-ton puller to take your stock pulley off. $160 shipped.
106, RE: FS: parting out my car :-(
Posted by Danny95ESI, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
Hey Sunblocker- I wasn't going to install it myself so I don't need the puller, so if I bought it from Ptuning.com, it's like $150 shipped. I know you paid like 200 bucks for it and you want to sell the puller with it. Thanks though. :)

Are you willing to sell the block or the entire engine. I want to buy your block but I won't need the head, fuel rail and all that stuff. I have a 95 and I'm pretty sure it's different. (not the head, but the other stuff) Lemme know.
108, RE: FS: parting out my car :-(
Posted by optimuspeterson, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
well i also have a 95, so i doubt its different, but i still need your engine or a engine. if i didn't get yours then i would have to charge you the extra amount of what a stock engine costs
109, RE: FS: parting out my car :-(
Posted by Danny95ESI, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
lol.....If that ends up happening, I'll buy your ported intake manifold

how much for the head? or do i have to pay price of new one too?

111, RE: FS: parting out my car :-(
Posted by optimuspeterson, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
lol, i guess i didn't explain this as well as i thought i did. You will give me your engine + money and i give you mine

Posted by pn0ymahal, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
hey dude, how much you look at for the engine with a trade? block and head prices?.. also may be odd to you but would you sell it outright and would you be able to get yourself a working engine? just a thought since im from ca if so..

1500 is w/ trade price. it costs 1100 just for the bottom end kit. then add in:

upper gasket kit: 100
timing belt: 80
underdrive pulley : 160
ported intake mani: 100
water pump: 60
idler pulley: 130

MACHINE WORK DONE:
bored .02 over
polished crank
resurfaced block,
decked head
3-way valve job
the engine was professionally built it costs around 1k for the machine work and the labor to tear down and to rebuild (i ran out of time to rebuild it myslef). also had pistons honed? (i think that is what it is called, they make sure they are to spec and are perfectly blanced and round). plus on the 95's you have to buy two sets of the main bearings.

so 1.1k + 1k = 2100 and its prebuilt and broke in.

not having a direct swap of engines that takes a weekend = PRICELESS :-)

explain how ups will ship the bumper wrapped in just bubble wrap? and the cargo cover is staying w/ the car

and remember my bumper is modified, so you will either have to remove the bumper support or cut it down

a simple layer of bubble wrapp around the thing(tape it all up like a mummy), it just fits under their size limit I'm in Mn and it costs around 30 odd dollars to ship to coastals like CA or FL.

UPS will ship non-boxed items for an extra 5 dollar charge. That is how I shipped my old OZ wheels/tires from Denver to CA. But at the same time they will not insure the item, so if it is damaged you are SOL.

updated page. now about the engine. here is what i will do. I can take my engine out and you can drive down to Bend, Oregon in a truck (or something) with your engine and we swap and you drive home. I don't have the means to work on more than one car a at a time and i really don't have the time. Your engine must be in good running order (remember i still have to sell the car), ex. good compression, have all maintence done to a certain point. If you are lacking in the maintence area then we can talk, but if you have a 100k miles on it and haven't touched your timing belt then you better swap that and supporting pieces over when you pull it out.

How many miles have u had your turbo kit?
133, RE: FS: parting out my car :-(

new updated page http://home.bendcable.com/optimuspeterson/for_sale.htm

ok here is the deal w/ the turbo kit.

I bought my turbo kit from 992gnt (greg). Greg bought RS_Guy's (he is the one w/ the skyline) car from him when he wrecked it. Greg at that time already had a stage 2 turbo. RS_Guy had a completly built engine and everything else you can imagine on his car. So that Greg swapped RS_Guy's engine and anything else useful. So Greg now had two turbos which is how i bought mine. I emailed Greg today and asked him how many miles where on the turbo and he said that RS_Guy had no more than 5000 miles on it and i have put no more than 4000 but i'll say 5000 just to be safe. So were looking at no more than 10000 miles. If you guys are a 96+ then you will have to buy a FCD, and everyone else look at buying exhaust manifold STUDS (don't use the ones that come w/ the kit) and new fuel line (don't want to reuse that).

i know i told a few of you that emailed me different about the milleage but i needed the whole story before i actually stated. I knew i was over estimating, but not how much.

I'm starting a new thread. this one is a we bit long and unorganized. All this info will be on the new thread so please reply to that one.

Thanks. any questions then email me or IM me.
