ive been aching to go to this .. are we sure the track closes so early ?????????????? cause i get out at 5 ... my best time home is an hour... so that makes it 6pm ... traffic getting out of the city at least 45 minutes .... making it around 700 715 another 45 to get there ... there is no way ... and i still dont have my lisence yet so they probably wont let me run ....

It's like a 2-3 hour trip for me depending on traffic(180 mi.). I'm gonna do what I can to get there early, like around 6 or so.

Someone call and see what time the track closes before we rule all these options out. I am down to leave at 6 if i know for sure i can get some running time in. IF not i will just meet you guys there.

Ok guys, I just called and found out that the strip will be open to us from 6:30 to 10:30. I hope everybody will still come:thumbsup

so if we leave exactly at 6 we get 2 hours of fun. Lets make this work people. Everyone must be on time so we can leave johns house at exactly 6. We don't need 95 for this so hopefully traffic isn't a real issue.

I did crappy. The best I could pull off was a 16.7 which is terrible for me. I had the 16s on instead of the 14s so I guess that probably had something to do with it. Also it was like 90 degrees and 95% humidity so that didn't help. It was my first time on a pro-tree and that was pretty cool. I got 5 runs in before somone blew their motor really bad in the right lane...and since there wasn't anyone to talk to I left.

Remy is the only person with a legitemate excuse for not going - his car was broken. Do the rest of you just like to say that you're gonna race to see who believes you?

Yeah my apologies. I told a few i wasn't going due to the fact i really thought it was going to rain. I was quite upset that no rain showed up. I is a 3 hour drive for me and I didn't want to drive down there to have it start raining. Hopefully next time this will work in our favor....

sorry guys but my old man was in CCU cause he just had surgery. I made phone calls but no one called me back so i figured it was going to be rescheduled..........

Well - they did check my license number - not my license. Actually the way it worked was that you have to write down you're license number on the tech inspection slip. This was the only field I didn't fill in, so when I got to tech the guy said - you need a license number and made me fill it in. I think if you fill it in before you get to tech you should be allright. What I mean is, if you write one down then they probably won't ask to see it.

As far as Friday is concerned - Island Dragway is closed this Friday cause of the holiday weekend. The lady told me that on the way in.
