It's official, April 26th will be the day and I managed to extend it till 3pm. That's 6 hours to abuse your car! The cost WILL be $40 so he can provide payouts and trophies. I believe RP charges $10 for spectators.

The RP staff is running the event and they choose the class structures to keep it simple. They wanted 3 classes but we now have 4:

AWD Quick 8 (pro tree)
FWD Quick 8 (pro tree)
13.00 and slower bracket
12.99 and faster bracket

If we get 100 cars we are looking @ $500 combined payouts for each class plus trophies and additional trophies for other things.

I promised him at least 75 cars so lets do our best to promote it.

This has been moved to the announcements section because the shootout section is specifically for the Ohio shootout run by Buschur racing, not every other shootout other regionals or race shops are holding.

you should change your title to OHIO dsm shootout then......... i laugh cause this east coast DSM shootout is going to be bigger than buschur's in a couple of yrs. Just you wait and see.........

you have to wear a helmet, but if you dont have one you can rent one for $3. you can go to www.etownraceway.com and they have rules/info there. another thing, wear long pants, because they gave my boy problems because he had shorts on. i know its gonna be end of april, and the weather is sometimes cold or warm, but wear long pants if you're gonna race...

hey spicy... they really don't go crazy at tech inspection... they look around the car checking tires and stuff but that's pretty much it. just have long pants, shoes perfered and if you have a helmet bring it.. show up for the mar 8 one.... it's imports vs detroit muscle.. i'm rolling along with remy and i think ken.... don't know about dave, john and dex though... plus i think some of the other guys from jersey, pa, del, md are showing up too...

sorry remy... the knee killed me with my paycheck... i'm losing 70% of my base pay plus overtime... ny workmans comp sucks... it only like 440 everyweek... shit i gotta put three weeks of comp away just to pay for rent and phone and cable bill.... hope this shit gets solved quickly.........

Not sure on the price but you only have to pay when u get in. As soon as your inside you can run as many times as you choose. I hope to leave NYC between 7-8am. I wanna be there at e-town around 9ish. Its about a 1hr ride from my house.

If its not rained out, where is the last place most of you guys are meeting? I live 5 minutes from RP and I'd like to meet you guys before the Shootout so we can all roll in together.

I would be interested in meeting up wit people to roll in to RP. It would be sweet to get a big pack of 2gnt'ers goin down the road. However it looks like its gona be a total washout. They are calling for rain tonight (friday) into and all day saturday. Over one inch of rain total. I hope they will be rescheduling to a later date or something.

i called up the raceway this morning.if it rains thats it. the guy i spoke to said that even if the slightest bit of rain is on the track its canceled. there is also no reschedule date either so thats, that i would say. how fucked up. ive been going nuts trying to get ready here. repairs and tuning up came out to 1400 so im quite annoyed

If the shoot out gets canceled I am gonna be soo fucking pissed. I spent a fortune getting my car ready. Anyway I guess we wont know for sure until tomorrow morning so keep your fingers crossed. Here is my cell number if anybody need to call me 917 682 3474 I will prabably be up all night.
