I have been talking with John over at J&S and i am going to get the safeguard unit this friday. I will install it this weekend and then play with it and see how it works. I have been having peculiar detonation episodes so it will be great if this works. i'll keep everyone posted!

let me know how it works out or if you need a second set of hands to help out. I know that certain RPM point at 0 boost where detonation occurs has been causing you to loose sleep at night.

hey james, im up to help you out dude. bring the unit along if you can to the meet so we can check it out. how much did it cost you?... im up to help a bit this weekend just to learn or hand you a tool or tape or something.

you guys can come by if you like, i am meeting with John Pizzuto on friday at noon to get the unit and have him run some tests on the car. I will bring the unit along on friday night so you can see it. i'm going to put it in on saturday morning, i think i will be done in a matter of hours, but you guys can still come by if you want.

update:
I met with John Pizzuto today and he ran some tests on my car. We couldn't get any reading from the knock sensor so we are going to meet again tomorrow and remove the knock sensor from the vehicle and test it out of the car. I will keep everyone posted about the progress and eventually post the installation instructions for our car and any little quirks that we need to know.

Excellent! I'm glad someone got over there to do some testing on it with our setups. Let us know how it all goes when its done.

So how is it going?

well, i am supposed to get togethter with john again this weekend, he has been doing some testing with the MSD tach adapter to see if the JS unit can drive the msd. also I have run some tests on the knock sensor and provided the data to him. I have not heard back from him yet though regarding a day and time to meet this weekend, but i will keep everyone posted.

no nothing yet, i have been trying to get in touch with john, but i think he has been very busy. i will send him some e-mails this week and try to get together next weekend to work everything out.
