whoa i completely forgot about this idea haha. well i am definately still down, my car is still basically stock , so id like to get some numbers before i go turbo. lets decide when we are going to do this trip up there. the only day we can run at sears is on wed's right? if so i hope that doesnt eliminate people. so maybe next wed? or two wed from now if people need advance for time off of work. and how late do they keep it open? we could all wait till after the traffic cools down and meet up after work in the evening. and im thinking maybe all you south bay folks could meet up with us east bay folks somewhere right off of 880 on your way up if we wanted to make it a caravan afair. everyone drop knowledge so we can set a date. woohoo

I'm down next week on the 31st just fixed my tranny so I can go now. I was suppose to go last wednesday but this tranny BS happened so i couldn't make it.

Wed what time, I'd like to go too but I have to leave after work.

my rear tires are completely bald!!!...would they still let me run my car?...I know at Sac. they sometimes check for stuff like that, if they will let me...I'm down!!!

im down for anytime on wed, since i got laid off today haha. my rear tires are getting pretty bald too but i can get some new ones the day before. has anyone here gone to sears for wed drags before? what time is best to be there?

When i went, they didnt check my tires but i do remember reading they did want to see some tread or somethin like that. If i remember correctly, the doors open at 3, practice runs start at 5, and the eliminations start at 7. i got there around 3:15 so i was near the front of the line, and missed the rush. Like i said in the other thread, its $20 to race and it goes until you are eliminated (in my case 8) but can run till about 10 i have heard. ummmm thats all i can think of rite now but if there are anything else, ask and ill try to answer what i can.
I would love to go but go figure, i have to get my wisdom teeth yanked out the day before so i think ill be in a lil pain. :'( Hope you guys have fun, and maybe ill see you guys at the next one or somethin

hmm ok look like 3 o clock at sear point sounds good. I'll take my vid cam with me so I can record all your guyz runs if you guys run. Hehe someone can take mine, better get some good footage :) Hehe since the the clips will be under 15.99 seconds (haha I hope) I should be able to host all of them. Shall we meet somewhere in between then go from there?

hey My9t5Talon, fusion, kory, or anybody else i forgot, are you guys going to be able to make it? hades i wouldnt mind meeting up along the way to cruise up to sears. im in fremont so i could just meet you at a specific gas station off of 880 on your way up. the most ideal would be get off at "thorton" in newark. when you get off turn left and just pull into your first shell on your right at the first intersection (thorton and cedar blvd). if there is anyone else from further north that wanted to meet up like hayward or san leandro or something just explain where and maybe we could all meet up there instead so hades or anybody else doesnt have to get off the freeway 20 times haha. if we are goign to meet at thorton hades just give me a time and ill be there. im brinin my homeboy terrance, it would be smart for us all to have one passenger so we can all rock the carpool all the way up.

yeh I'm down for a rally point. Hayward sounds like a good point. Probably somewhere in Hayward near the freeway at around 2. Can someone give direction on where to meet up in Hayward? If some peeps don't manage to see this post by the time its time to roll out it's supposedly at 3PM at Sears Point. Haha just go around looking for other 2GNTs cuz I've never been there b4 :P

*UPDATE* hmm I just checked searspoint's website and checked their schedule and it sez there are NO SPORT drag on the 31 and 7th. I'm assuming that this could be the wednesday night drags meaning it's cancelled. But I'll call tommorow I guess and see wassup. It could just be an event that goes on in the day time.

well hey 9t5talon it looks like were all going to be having to wait a few weeks anyways. at least we both will probably have new tires then :-) maybe more people will be available the next time wed drags are open. ill see everyone sat at the dsm meet.

I should be available if you do one in a few weeks. Besides I'm still waiting to fix my brakes (when we gonna do that hades?) and I'm getting my gst muffler sent out tomarrow morning. I totally forgot about the NHRA thing, my dads been talking about that for weeks, he's going either saterday or sunday.

So do they have different classes there? If not my stock RS probably won't last to long. And it's $20 to run, does it cost anything to just watch?

they have separate classes but theyre like, stree compact, sport compact, high school level and others that i can remember just look through the site and im sure u can get a better idea. it all depends on cars and how fast your it is. i would assume that most of us would fall under the street compact. its 10 dollars to watch, but its fun to race. lol, there was this mini mo-ped type bike that ran a 22.5s@55mph....yea baby
