it is more a trade show than car show. Pretty much every manufacture is there with a booth and their cars. But now i guess they are making it a car show as well.

I'm going for sure. If my so called "sponsor" pays my entry fee, I may even enter. SEMA is my favorite among the car shows that I've been to.

I'm definitely going to IAS on saturday. I just got a press pass through premier compacts, so I'll be covering the event for at least that one day...

Hey, what time does this start? That's the day of my MCAT. (Med School Admissions Test). My exams from 8-5. If its in the evening, I would love to go and just vent my frustrations after a heavy exam. Well, if its in the day, won't be able to go.:-( Just post pics then...

I think its from 12 to 7 pm.

And does anyone here have a good digital camera that can take 800x600 resolution or higher, and take at least 300 pictures (need memory cards)? If you can cover the event, please let me know and I can see if my press pass can be transferred over to you. Most likely I can't make it due to my crazy schedule, so let me know. You also need a fast internet connection to send the pictures.

Sonic, can you make it on sunday? I just recieved a promotion at work, so saturday isn't the best day for me either. Sunday would be good though, me and 98EclipseGirl will probably be going then if you wanna meet up.

Hey Marcus, if you are serious about transfering your press pass: Me and my friend were planning on going. He has an awesome Sony digital camera. Its a 4.x megapixel and he has a 128mb memory card that stores about 1100 pictures on normal resolution. It can also film 20 minute .mpg movies. He is coming over to my house tonight so I will ask him if he is definite about going. We were planning on going but if he gets a press pass, Im sure he'd want to go.

BTW he lives in Los Angeles so it wouldnt be too hard to arrange a time to transfer over the pass if you want to.

Hey, Dan (sd_eclipse) already contacted me, so he's gonna get first dibs on it. He's hopefully gonna get a larger memory card too. However, please keep in mind that I'm not even sure if I can get the pass transferred at all. The pass is supposed to be picked up at the will call booth with a driver's license, so I hope it's not too late to change the names on their list. But if your friend wants to take pics for my site, I'd really appreciate it :)

Yeah no problem. Can your site host movies too? I have a digital cam also but its a 1.3 megapixel. Is that enough resolution? BTW I have a DSL connection and he has Cable connection. Not sure which one is faster. But if SD_Eclipse doesnt want to do it, and if it is possible to transfer the pass, then we'll take the pass.

Ya I can host movies too. All coverage would be great. 1.3 megapizel should be good enough as long as you set it on a good quality setting. For me, I use "best" quality, and "standard" resolution. If I set the resolution to high, it takes up too much memory on mine.

I go to Loma Linda U. I only applied to cali schools - there's no way I could go east - too cold! Snow is not my thing (that's what our mountains are for, so you can visit it and then leave)

Don't think negative bro, hopefully you'll get in first round! Just don't procrastinate in sending your aps like I did. I think that's why I didn't get into UCSD... but now I'm kinda glad I didn't, since I've heard bad things about the med faculty there.

Anyway... yea we should meet up at sema, maybe I can give you some ideas about aps and stuff (or have you already applied???)

Hey Dan, it's been confirmed that they can change it to your name for the press pass. You just need valid ID to pick it up at the will call booth. Thanks again, and do you have a fast internet connection to upload the pics, or can you possibly burn onto a cd?

Hey I would recommend someone start a new separate thread for people meeting on Saturday so you can all pick a location. Maybe just look up the address for the IAS show and pick some fast food place near by. Just look it up in yahoo maps/yellow pages...

I'm up for helping you after SEMA whether I go or not Saturday. All you need to bring is whatever your using for a grill, or we can make a run to home depot and buy it. Go ahead an email me your # and when to call ya to arrange everything.

I will be at the Sema show at about 1pm and will probably stay till about 6pm or so. Unless its easier for you to do it earlier. But u can call me on Saturday at the show so we can either meet up at the show or give me directions to meet u at your place. As far as the materials go, I have no clue what kind of wire mesh to buy. Maybe it would be best if u went with me to Home Depot, if its not too much trouble, Or tell me on what aisle I can find it and what its called.
