ya, i hit up the trak w/a cuple buddies. i didnt get the times i expected but had lotsa fun.

my best run was a 16.8 :( with a 2.5 60ft. my highest trap was 83.2 :(

the tree was all Fd up, it would stage u, then go green w/no warnin, i didnt get one good launch all night.

i lined up with that impreza, and he beat me by 0.14, his awd gave him the launch, but i was catchin him. he had about 2 cars on me the first 1/8, and i reeld him in a lil and was at his rear bumper at the end of the 1/4....

i had fun, and my times gimme more a reason to save for a trubo ;-)

btw, there was this supra taht smoked 2 vipers, and one of the vipers was a 650 hennessey...
the supras first race, he gave this hatchback about 1/8 head start, and reeled his ass in...

my best race was against an acura 3.2typeS, it was my best launch, and i had him thru the top of second, but he pulled quickly on me durin third and beat me by 2-3 cars...

sounds like when I lined up against a 3.2 type S, I had him to the 1/8th, but it was a 1/4 mile race :(

and, same thing with an impreza I lined up against, he had me at the launch, but I pulled past him in 3rd gear

just keep practicing that launch, and you'll get there. imagine what you'd get with a 2.30 60 foot... :)

If you're not racing against someone but going for times ... take your time to get a good launch. Your ET time doesn't start till you break the little lasers in front of you. Your reaction time will suck but your ET will be better.

Hey..don't let the times bother you. I bet with more practice you can pull off some 2.3 60ft's and get a 16.4 at least if not alot better. I'm going to track this Fri hopefully...to run my 89 Probe GL!! Don't laugh..it moves for what it is. I'm hoping for a mid 16 at around 82-83. Best gtech is 16.23 with consistent 16.4's. My Probe is opposite in 1/4...sucks 1/8 mile and pulls after that for some reason. With me in the car and all equipment including the spare it weighs 2850lbs. Hell a 16.7 would be cool...sick of guys in Probetalk.com talkin smack on all non 2nd gen Probes. All they seem to think has any potential is a newer GT or older GT. Keep at it!! Practice is the best thing to do....
