917, A rolling start Posted by reallysmartperson, Mar-24-02 11:58 AM
I just raced this 89 supercharged MR2. I drive a 95 gs w/catback and intake and we started from a rolling start of about 8-10 mph. he counted a 1-2-3 and I pushed in the clutch and revved it at the two count, I was at 6000-6300 rpm when we took off and i dumped it. I peeled out for a second then took off but he already had almost a car length on me, I pulled on him in second but not enough then we ran out of road. What is the best way to start from a roll? did I do anything wrong? This is my first post im a new user but i read the posts here all the time.
