This is what my friend got in his 96 gs-t with a gtech/pro. i was in the car with him. that speed seems really high. with a better launch, should he be in the low 14's with that speed? the only mods are 2.5 cat back and a k&n filter. seems pretty quick for so few mods. by the way, my 97 rs seems (is) so slow now. i want a turbo!

the gtec usually does a good job with the 1/4 mile time, but over-estimates the trap speed
since he's FWD he probably spun alot, and that would make the mph even higher

Speed is off usually by 5 mph compared to track. Why would his MPH be higher?? Mine went up almost 2mph on gtech WITH traction and not spinning as bad.

A TSI track timing system mesures two speeds at the inlet and outlet if you want to call it that at the end of thje 1/4 mile (notice the 100 feet of stripes at the end of most and then it averages them out. The G tech only measures exit speed. That is why it is always higher. But the 1.4 times are usually fairly accurate.

Mine and my friends times have been almost dead on with the track times we get and all about 5 mph faster.
