I beat the last 2.5 RS Impreza I raced against. He did get me off the line, but when I hit third (my bumper was at the cente of his car) I pulled on him and won. So they can be beaten. Their heavier weight and AWD are a disadvantage in higher gears.

what mods do you have Vegasdsmr? Those subies are mean off the line but they slow down when they shift into third and die in fourth.

haha impreza 2.5RSs are a joke man. I raced an auto one and killed it when I only had intake. sure it's got bigger engine and more horspower than us but AWD= drivetrain loss. plus that boxer engine is only good for lowend. like VX100 said you'll catch it in the top end. Heh that's why the Lancer EVO is faster than it, it's got topend...

i have bored t/b, intake w/ram air setup, 2.5 mandrel exhaust, wires, plugs, udp, motor mounts, basically everythin for n/a except headers, afc, nos, and p&p intake mani.

and sum weight reduction (no back seats/spare tire/jack, c/f hood, no subs(for racin only:) ))

i think it will be close either way

still havent raced yet, but now were talkin money from a 5mph roll.

he put on a homemade intake w/ k&n filter, but left his stock airbox (dunno why, he was worried about losin torque)

his engine has dual intake manis, and one t/b. the intake mani runners have to be at least a foot long.
