Well, I said I would post when I got the Safc adjustments done. Didn't add much but it was something. 3 more horses and .5 (ft-lbs) torque. If I had more time on the dyno I may have been able to smooth it out a bit more and get up to 170. But I really didn't want to spend the time and the money just to pull a 1/2 horse more out of it. Here's the link;

On the downside, something happened on the dyno with my linkage/shifter. She's now shifting like a 1g turbo :shrug . or maybe it's that noisy ass Spec clutch I got in there that sounds like a bag of springs between shifts :P . I dunno, I'll check it out. Hoping to get back on the track this week.

Anyway, happy with the numbers and, as you can see, the Safc will get you more, but not a lot more.

Major props to you, those are some good numbers. Most people shun N/A, but that close 170 whp is pretty damn good.

EDIT: I can't read graphs. lol.

I appreciate the props guys :thumbsup , thanks!

Cougar69; you know it's the challenge of the whole thing. I did this with the old bugs, so it kind of fit nicely. But I think I am at a crossroads of going MSnS or no more HP (unless I go ITB's and I'll need MSnS for that :shrug ). Maybe over the winter. Not so sure that I can pull 30 HP out of it :nuts , but I would be curious to see how much.

Avenger; the graph looks cool but if you want the cheaters view you can just read the bottom of it to see the max numbers :P (J/K)

Now if I could just find time to get down to the track with all my little adjustments..........

Thanks again,

Woo, I keep checking this area for updated fromm you Mark. 170 whp is pretty damn impressive. I think it's time to maybe work on the ITB's and a true LTH, maybe put to use some of the ideas thrown around here, no?

Well, finally found time to hit the track (New England Dragway, 3 hrs away) and they had a rainout! Crap. I'll just have to do Englishtown this weekend with a no-look dial-in.

Jason, I appreciate the interest. I have been following along with the LTH thread with interest. But it's been my experience that because of the "matching resonance" theory you will gain in a small rpm range but not too useful for the rest of the range (though of course nobody is saying that. And if you bring that range up to match a higher rpm......that's where my interest lies).

I do believe that ITB's are the answer to above 200 whp for these cars. But I have to get the MSnS down first so that I can take advantage of the ITB's.

This year was just a year to see how far I could take the car while still maintaining the "daily driver" concept. I wanted to do things that would be in the range of the "average" driver (finacially as well as the DD concept). I still have a few more events to hit before the season is over, so hopefully I will lower the 1/4 a bit more. That'll give me the winter to come up with some "different" stuff :scratch .
