4205, results from track Posted by Eric, Jun-02-04 11:18 AM
previous best (1st time at track): 60' : 2.6 1/4 : 16.964 MPH : 85.21
since then added udp and learned to drive better. this is what i got last tuesday:
best: 60' : 2.368 1/8 : 10.466 1/4 : 16.270 MPH : 85.27
averaged: 60' : 2.4xx 1/4 : 16.4xx or 16.5xx MPH : 85.xx
had 1 86.32 MPH but 60' was slow. setup on my Eclipse RS is short intake, exhaust, and udp. My last 2 runs were bad, into the 16.6. I had good 60', so i think it was from my engine bay being hot and having a short instead of cold intake. What do u think? How do those times look for those mods? I'm hoping and wondering if i could push it to 15.999 with practice and a cai. Well that's for the reponses and the track was fun.

hey not bad considering I ran a 16.1 this past sat, and i have a Turbo with 3 inch exhaust! my best is a 15.5 with stage 1 turbo and stock exhaust.

MPH is the car R/T is the driver.
not bad 96rs-t.
I ran 16 flat at 90mph at the LACR , back when I was auto on 5psi.
Cant wait to break in the new block, 8inj set up, programmable msd, spec stg 3, 5-spd, and NICE ammounts of boost.

dood my times are horrible. i thought i'd run low 15's once i put that 3inch exhaust...i think the GSX rims slowed me down.

your problem is that wimpy little 16g....at 6.5psi on a star stage 2 with a t3/t4E turbo in 93 degree heat i ran a 14.50@98.38 on 17" rims with only H-rated tires...granted i am also 5speed...but loose the wimp turbo and see your times improve..

I know yall are FWD but there isn't huge amount of power in the NA cars so I don't really get the super high 60' times. Yes I'm aware I'm RWD but guys, I sat on the line and spun all the way thru 1st without moving pretty much, then dropped into second at 2000rpm and took off as best I could that way and still pulled a 2.6 60'. With a half-decent launch on nearly bald Nitto 555R z-rated street tires at 32psi I cut a 2.1 with nearly 300 lb/ft of torque.
What I'm trying to say is don't be sooo judicious with the throttle when you come off the line, learn to feather it and maybe put some slightly thicker rubber on. If you're into the racing aspect, leave the 17 and 18 inch rims at home and get a thicker 15" with a good 225 Z tire for street or invest in some drag radials. I can definitely see some guys getting into the trap speeds needed for a 14 NA but the suspension/tires/practice required is where it's at. Good luck.

On that same note...My SRT-4 ran a 14.39 with a 2.6 60 ft. Hehe, first time ever at the track. I spun all the way through first with some god awful wheel hop.

honestly a 2.6 60ft kinda sucks for a FWd, just keep working on that you have the possiblities to get into the 15's with just improving your 60 ft times. I went to the track and popped off a 2.4 60ft my first time AND broke an axle and dropped 2 motor mounts on the launch. So after the first 20-30 feet i just cruised... trust me 2.0's are VERY possible.
my car will sound like, bumbabumbubavrooooooooooooooomrooooooooahhhhhhhhhhhhh, kishhhhhh www.dsmregistry.com/detail.php?carid=643 VW= The joy of driving DSM= The frustration of fixing

if he is manual he has tons of room to improve my ATX hit 2.510 on its first run ... manual should hit around 2.2 or 2.3

Just updating since last I've been to the track. I was running 2.5 60' and 16.4 1/4 until i lowered my tire psi more, then i could actually launch w/out spinning. This was just this last sat, so it was cold and sunny - perfect.
best 60': 2.399 1/8: 10.40 1/4: 16.15 MPH: 87.35
New best 1/4 by .1, but 60' could be better. Still need more practice on launching. Same mods as before. Next and final mod is cai, which i haven't gotten the $ for yet.
Trying to get into 15....maybe next year...
---------- side note: damn neon r/t was running mid 15's with cai and suspension work. :)
