what mods do you have done? cos it would take about 3000$ just to make the WHP of a stock h22 on a 420a...

now mod a h22, throw it in a lighter car....not to likely your winning unless your boosted

I raced a light weight civic hatch CX H22 swap w/ a stripped entire when I had half the mods done to my car that I do now, and it only beat me by 2-3 car lengths in the 1/8th.

They are overated IMO.

I'll take a turbo over a H22 (high comp, doesn't like boost well), and smoke it any day.

One of my friends has a H22 swaped into a 92 hatch and it ran right near 8.0 in the 1/8th with intake, exhaust and a great launch

stage 4 clutch, aluminum flywheel, solid motor mounts, Phantom grip, phantom boost, egt, a/f, oil psi, apexi TT, Jeep TB, Star stage 2 with custom 3 inch downpipe out passenger side bumper, custom ground kit, falcon azenis, 2 inch drop, eibach camber kit, crank scrapper,AEM cam gear, short shifter, AFX UDP and some other stuff

Ok, well I think more often than not the H22 civic, with its weight advantage, will beat an all motor eclipse, but put boost into the equation for either car and then it depends on who has internals, what size turbo, blah blah.. you know all the variable, I don't have to tell you ;)

I've beaten an EX with a Type R b18 swap, intake and exhaust. Those Type Rs run similar times to the H22A Prelude don't they? I didn't win by too much so I doubt an all motor 420A beat one.
