What kinda rules do they have at most drag strips?? Do you have to have a working clutch safety switch??? Helmet?? Anything else I need to know??? Anything I should bring???

Depends a lot on the track. If it's a sanctioned NHRA track they'll be real strick with the rules. I've never seen anyone check for a clutch safety switch - think you're safe there. As for safety devices if you run 13.99 ET or quicker you'll need a helmet.

If its a 1/8 mile track you will need a helmet if you run faster than 8.99 et. the tracks around here just check to see if battery is secure and a feww little things like tires and turbo and supercharger and see if a few things are working corectly. make sure your car is clean the won't let you run with any kind of dirt on the track. i can't think of anything else now just make sure your not leaking any fluids.

At the track I usually race, during tech inspection they strictly check coolant overflow, battery tie downs, seat belts, and the clutch switch (your car shouldn't be able to start if you don't have your foot on the clutch).

It is different for different tracks. Certain tracks will betougher than others, or look at different things more closely than others. A good idea would be to talk to someone who has raced at the track you are planning on going to and see what they say about the safety inspection procedures.
