3646, BF Goodrich T/A KD GeForce decent for the track? Posted by etx, Nov-06-03 10:27 AM
I am looking for some decent track tires. I found BF Goodrich T/A KD GeForce at discount tire for $150 a piece. Also i have been talking to someone from dsmtrader that is selling wheels/tires (2) with MT slicks for ~$300. I have a brand new set of decent street tires (Proxies) so I am only going to use whatever I get on the track. what should I do? I wanna try to make 1 good run this year! x(

those tires do stick VERY well, but don't drive in the rain with them (they are the KD series, not the KDW, right?) The KDs do not work well at all when it's wet out. A few years ago I was driving a NEDSM member's 99GSX with KDs on them. The road was wet and I went sideways with little effort (almost wiped out the car!).

My old set of wheels had the KDW's on them and I LOVED them. They are a bit noisy if you can put up with that. You are talking about the KD's though so just disregard everything I just wrote :-).
