It's in plain text so it stays in chart form.

It was my first time ever at the track. If you guys want to
anylyze the numbers, and tell me what you think, that would be
cool. I am attributing the slow 1/4 times with a leaking head
gasket, i don't really think it was my driving, but who knows.
whaddaya think?

Ure reaction time wasnt too bad at all for goin to the track
for your first time... Of course the 1/4 time coulda been
better, but with a leaky headgakset I understand then... What
mods do u have??
:thumbsup

No offense but it's more of the driving. Your 60' times are
pretty bad. 2.7s aren't going to cut it. For reference I
could pull 2.5s when my car was an AT and that was NA power
breaking. You wanna shoot for 2.2s

hey man, dont worry about it, i posted it cuz i wanted help, so it's alright. all i have is an intake and apex'i N1 3 incher (which might have something to do with my 60 ft times, no torque). i was launching at just a little over 3000. should i just launch from a higher rpm for better 60 ft times or what?

EDIT: and yes, i realized this when i got my exhaust, and i do plan on going turbo eventually. just thought i would point out that im not really an idiot before anyone jumps on my case. lol.

If you weren't spinning tires at the line, then you could stand to launch a little higher. Remember to practice modulating the GAS and not the clutch. Shoot for lower 2's in the 60 ft time. Reaction time has squat to do with 1/4 mile time.

i agree w/ everyone else...

im quite amazed at your r/t!!! granted it doesnt have anything to do w/ you 1/4m time, but i know a ton of people that cant pull of consistant .6ish r/ts. :thumbsup

somthign is wrong w/ your launch, as those 60' times just suck, lol. instead of doing the same thing each time, try varying the pedal feathering and the launch rev point. you will be surprised at the results. :7

Look at it this way. For every tenth you drop your 60', you pick up two tenths on the other end (generally speaking). Take you best et (17.128) and look at the 60' (2.7). Make that 2.7 a respectable 2.2 (.5 second difference), multiply by 2 (1 full second) andsubtract that from your et. Your 17.1 could have been a 16.1 with only better driving.

^^^^Bench racing at it's best! :cheers

haha, now i really can't wait to go back and try to rev a little higher. i wish i would have known what 60 ft. times were good at the time, because i could have made the necessary adjustments.

i don't think i would have been able to pull off a 16.1, but i guess i'll have to wait and see until next time I go.

Just remember if you're spinning tire then you're not going to get a good 60' time. You need to feather the throttle enough that your moving and not sitting still spinning tire (what I do most of the time).

I agree with everything said above, just work on the 60ft times. Greg, great to see you got that beast running good. :)
