I upgraded my DRs to the 225/50R16 nitto 555r's and at 55 degrees my best time was a:
14.3@109!
109!!! I was trapping 5mph slower tahn that in spring!!
This is at 14psi!! Anybody wanna take a hp stab?
Anyone else trapping 108-110mph speeds and not gettign anywhere in the quarter?

109 is a mid 12 second trap speed :)

i know matt 95tgs has the same problem, along with a few others... thats a damn nice speed though! only race from a roll haha.

Yeah thats good for mid/high 12's man. Its all about getting the car off the line as FAST as you can, and with good traction of course. Its hard as hell in FWD..What was your 60ft time? That tells most of the story..

i always get beat to the question^^^^^^^^^^ 60ft tells all.......from what ive learned......1/4 mile time is the driver....and trap speed is the car......if your runnin a 14.3 with a 109 mph then u need to get off the line better.......type up that 60ft time for us......

I actually UPGRADED drag radials, from the 205/60/r14 to the 225/50r16!
My 60' times really should have improved!
I launched medium clutch around 3500rpm. Same as always.

If you run slicks you will make 12's for sure.

damn, 2.7-2.9... If you can nail a 2.0 60 ft(totally possible with slicks or dr's), thats about 1.4 seconds off of your 1/4 time :o

I think LSD is calling my name next spring :)

I get low 14's at around 107mph. I have gotten low 14's at 96 mph before way back at only 8 psi. I think my problem is that my manifold is cracked bad and it isnt building boost quickly. its taking forever to spool up. But that will be fixed within ther next couple weeks.

you can hit 12's with a better 60', and then just throw in a 150 shot of N20 and you'll be competing with Hahn!:P

What was your tire pressure at when you were at the Track..... you should have been at around 15-20 psi in the front tires.....

Congrats, good mph. I've been there 109.26 to be exact at 13.58 with 16psi and stage 3 trim at Norwalk... you "should" (and I loosly use the term) dyno around 280whp(sae correct).. that's going from my runs on a 248c dynojet with HRC kit and similar boost level.

sweet, i'd like to but when my car floated off in the flood i shorted out the o2 sensor so i have to buy a new one. And a new alarm siren.

Thats a DAMN good time for a 2.7-2.9 60' time. and you pulled that 60' on drag radials? damn man, feather that throttle a little more! :-) i pulled 2.4's on 17" Kumho 711's. its normally accepted that every tenth lower your 60' time is, your ET generally goes down two-tenths. great run. its a 12-sec car easy.

I tried everything I could think of that night. Nothing helped, i had the tires hot as hell. Dew was collecting on the staging lamps and they were having to be cleaned every 5 minutes, and my windows were so fogged up i couldn't see where i was going. The conditions that night were terrible, i'm still considering going back out this friday.

I'd go lower than 18psi with the drag radials, try more like 12psi. I nailed 2.1 60ft'ers with stock 14's at 15psi in my RS with short ram/catback, so I know you can do better. If you had AWD traction, 109mph traps would be good for 12.2-12.4's. Keep tryin, you'll nail 12's :thumbsup

Holy shit you can nail 12's at only 14 psi? Damn...I never knew that. I thought it took a lot more boost to shove our cars into 12's.

^^^ they are talking about tire pressure in the slicks.

I ran a 13.2 @ 109 with a 2.1x 60ft time. With better traction and giving my car hell I got a 12.77 @ 111 with a 1.90 60ft all on my Nitto Drags, 245/50 16. My car is real heavy though too..

rwd does wonders.
