Hi, This is actually my first posting...i think. Anyway I wanted to rattle off a list of cars I've beaten in the quarter on street. My first time on track will actually be tonight at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, OH. So I should have some times to post soon. The cars I've taken on the street are: Year: ?? Make: Mazda MX6 Mods: None? Too many car lengths to count, he gave up. Year: 97 Make: Pontiac Sunfire Mods: Milled head, performance intake, high flow exhaust, high performance tires. Had the body kit and paint job also. Lowered also. Beat him by over a car length Year: 97 Make: Mitsubishi Eclipse RS Mods: Intake, exhaust, plugs and wires, body kit. He thought he was top shit too. Beat him by a car length. Year: 97 Make: Honda Civic Mods: Many Many Many Body mods. Won tons of car shows. Intake, exhaust.others??? Beat him by 2-3 car lengths.
I drive a 96 Eclipse RS. I have high flow muffler, and a performance air filter connected to the stock tubing. Other than that it's stock. Also got 16" rims but it doesn't help all that much on street. I have been running 100 octane race fuel also. Another great idea for you guys is when racing street is to take off your hood, some of the cold air intakes I have seen don't run all the way to the ground. Taking off you hood allows for alot more airflow and lightens the car some. I have my throttle opening all the way up also, I heard something about restrictors in vaccuum hoses? anyone know about those. Plz go ahead and post you race stories too.
Would you all shun me if I put a turbo kit on my car. 2gnt? Or should i just pull an all motor upgrade?

Running 100 octane gas is a huge waste with the mods you have.

i thought race gas was used to limit detonation due to timing related stuff? 100 octane is kinda crazy. sometimes my car runs crappy on 93.

No, I can't say that i've seen you. If you ever come to Logan at night, I'm usually in town. I wanna check your car out, and hang out/shoot the shit for a while or something.

hmmm must not have been an MX6 v6 then because those things pull around a 15.3 stock very far away from what you're hitting with those mods.
