Not sure about this. Some kid knows that I am finishing up my turbo stage 1 Hahn install this weekend. He says he has a friend with a 2000 SI and asked me to put money up on the race. I told him "Maybe" so I could think about it.

I have a GS AUTOMATIC, hahn stage 1 turbo kit, NonTurbo Apex N1 exhaust (will be upgraded in a month or so), and UDP.

I don't know what the SI has, but it's obviously 5 speed.

Let's say the SI has just an intake and exhaust and he is an decent driver, what do you think the outcome will be? I think I could still win. Would the final drive gears put me on top for sure? Thanks.

I think you can take him. Oh yeah, the final drive will definately seal the deal.

Si has 160 hp. Weighs a lil less than ours. You should kick his ass..

I feel like a broken record on this... if he has a flywheel, he's going to beat you unless you are VERY well tuned.

How much can I tune a stage 1 though? Anything I don't know besides having to tune the fuels in the SFMU?

I've got a manual tranny so I'm not sure if this will help but I beat an SI with a few bolt ons by about 3 car lengths. I was very surprised because I thought they were much quicker.

SI's are not fast unless then have a lightweight flywheel and a decent driver, then they're pretty quick.

I run with my buddy all the time. He has a vtec controller, full catback, header, CAI. The SI's dont come in automatic. He just about beats me after 60mph....0-60 is about even, depending on the launch.

That makes total sense since 2nd gear ends at around 60 and when those Hondas hit 3rd all hell breaks loose. Unfortunately our cars seem to do the exact opposite :nono .

When I was stock I raced my girlfriend's brother's Del Sol that had quite a few mods. 0-60 he had a half a car on me but once we hit 3rd it was all over.

i absolutely love my third gear... well, i used to till my recent problems :)

race that civic and you'll kick his ass.. even with a lightened flywheel... you are still going to take him if you are decent driver... at one of our meets, me and mitsuman raped a civic si with "a ported and polished engine" :rolleyes ... we have it on video somewhere, if sonic would ever post it!! :9 oh yea.. that was from a 70mph roll... in my favorite gear, third!:thumbsup

turbo 3rd gear is a different story ... and btw no final drive mod .. u have absolutly no need for it ... the boost will make up for it .. the final drive will just make u slower in the top end when your turbo is working at its peak .. your top speed will be like 110

dont know if this helps but my n/t beat a shit load of civic's in its days...
