My friends brother had a 2002 Mustang gt and he just got a 125 Shot of NOS, I wanted to know what he would run in a 1/4 mile, he's a good driver too. I got a ride in it yesturday and thats the sickest sh** I ever rode in!

Can a GT mustang take a 125 hp shot? That's a huge torque load, and it all hits at once not gradually. He'd better have it set up to build in gradually to be on the safe side.

I don't know what esle he's got but I think that it can handle a 125 shot, if a eclipse can handle a 85 shot then I think a gt could handle 125

Any other mods? Should have bigger fuel pump for anything over 100HP on a Mustang. The bottom end will take it though..that's not a prob. If he could get traction..it would be a mid 12 second car...maybe better. All depends on the other mods. He is probably pushing about 340+ HP at the wheels and WAY over 400 ft lbs torgue. Find out what else he has for mods.

all he has is the 125 shot, nothing else. before he bought it he looked over the internet to see what a gt could handle, there's some traction problems though, the next thing he'll get is wider rims and tires, maybe that will help

Tell him to just get some drag radials. I have Nitto's and love them for the street. BF T/A's are better at hooking..but don't last more than like 5000 miles. Nitto's can go up to 15,000 miles. They made a 275/40 17" if he has the stock 17's or if he has the 16" rims 245/50 like I have. Nitrous is the best bang for the buck..no doubt. Just have to use it carefully and always run good gas. Is it just a dry kit? Or wet kit?

When i use to have a mustang i read in a magazine that a Gt with a 150 shot ran a 10 or something but blew the engine on the second try.
I would tell your brother not to use it too often.....or else :thumbsup

There are guys with over 100,000 miles running 150 shots on 5.0's with no probs. Hell..I saw a guy in a mag running a 200HP shot on a stock 5.0 motor! EEEEKK! On a stock 5.0 10's are not going to happen but low 12's I can see with a 150 shot but with more mods 11's easy. My car with a 150 shot would be in the low 12's high 11's easy. But 93's don't have forged pistons so I wouldn't risk it.I've heard mixed things about the 4.6's so I would go anymore than what he is at now. As long as you play it safe and use your head nitrous is fine.

I'm not sure if it's wet or dry, he did some research before he got the kit, he knows not to use it too much

It's a dry kit....and it's gonna run faster then mid 12's

There is no way it will go better than mid 12's unless you have some slicks and suspension mods. To run real good times you have to launch with it and all that extra torque will make traction difficult. With slicks, suspension, and a kick ass driver...never know. A typcial stock GT is a 13.7-14.2 dead stock...and not many people get in the 13's stock..VERY few. Most are 14.1's. So you could drop 1.5 seconds or better off with that much nitrous but you need traction.
