1363, whats up with this track time????? Posted by nikademis, Jun-09-02 05:30 AM
i ran 18.9 with a 2.7 60ft in my 98-2gnt.it has an aem CAI and a GReady cat back. the car i ran was an automatic. are these times normal? I thought they were able to run 17.4s stock? i know the 60fts suck but even with that i should be in the low 18s atleast right?

The auto is going to slow you down, it's all in the launch. Get a good launch and you'll tick some time of that.
Also what size wheels/tires are you running? A large diameter heavy wheel will decrease time too
Una salus victus.

ya, its all in the launch...
for me, a 2.5 60footer is equal to 16.8-17.3 a 3.1 60footer is 18.1 a 2.4 60footer is 16.5-16,8 a 2.2 60footer is 15.9 (#s from about 20 runs, and thats what i usually turn at the end of the 1/4)
hook em good, and feather da clutch (dont drop it) and u will see better times...o wait, auto... ya, u will be slower on da launch, try to powerbreak after your staged at like 2 or 3grand....
