at 80mph i'm at 3500rpm's in 5th, i was just wondering if this is what everyone's at, cuz it seems kinda high. i remember someone saying they were around 3000, which is a lot less at that speed.

at 70, i chill at 3000rpms... im not sure what my rpms are at 80, but 3500 sounds about right (in fifth gear, manual tranny)...

yes 80mph is almost right at 3500 in my car.... i look at it like this, in 5th gear. every 10 mph u add another 500rpm basically.. at least i've found that to be true in my car (only 5th gear though)

ive had two different:
at 80mph in my old 97 AT GS i was at 3000rpm
and with my MT 97 GST im around 3500rpm.

80-ish in 99 auto RS= approx 3k.
