stock our cars are good with mid range torque. fomr 3-6 thousand is the optimal torque output. i'm pretty sure our torque curve stays pretty level here not all spikey or late rising like the vtec cars. with basic bolt ons the only reason you have to shift past 6k is to get in better revs in the next gear. also top end power is made from exhasut upgrades so if you have modified exhaust you will not only get mor top end pull but after shifting at high rpms or even redline you will be at higher revs in the next gear as opposed to stock exhaust, i personally noticed that while stock exhaust if i shifted at redline i would get dropped down to 4000 rpms(loose shifter) than after just a muffler i bumped up 400rpms and i would be at about 4400rpms in in third
