1030, NHRA tech inspections. Posted by Michael_97RS, Apr-23-02 10:15 AM
Since I want to get back to the track, and Buscher did no tech inspections, what should I watch out for? Where can I get a copy of the NHRA rulebook to make sure I don't have anything that needs to be fixed before I go.

I've never been checked at the track. Just make sure that you aren't leaking any fluids and you should be fine.

i heard they wont let u run w/out a catchcan if u have a breather filter...imsure u have one tho ;-)
umm, maybe check to see the actual trak rules. i would figure that they are "somewhat" similar to the nhra rules...

for our cars, just battery tie down, a catch can/overflow can for the radiatior, seatbelts that work, the car can't be leaking any fluids (basically our cars will be fine)
and for the driver, a pair of long pants, socks, no open shoes, and a shirt with sleeves (t-shirt, no tank tops)
that's about all they'll check

Cool, I didn't think I had anything on the car to worry about, but figured I'd ask. Probably going next Tuesday. We'll see if I can get some decent numbers worthy of posting in a signature :-D
