I came by a chart in a magazine and thought of this thread. It's saying if you're running at one of the given speeds, you should at least be at the e.t. next to it. BUT, this is assuming your chassis is holding up and not flexing. If the e.t number is higher than it should be for a given mph, it generally means there's room for improvement in the tires, clutch/converter, gear ratio, and/or suspension.
