9912, Changing power supply INSIDE radar detector Posted by HeDog, Oct-25-04 01:52 PM
I've got a BEL 850STi that I've had for years in my Eclipse. I was going to mount it in my Jeep and I didn't fuse the power to the detector. Turned it on & nothing. I figured that I fried the power supply on the thing. Actually I'm pretty sure that I did.
So has anyone ever replaced the power supply on a radar detector before? I really like this detector & would hate to chuck it. Thanks.

wow....your car is HOT.
anyway..what makes you think you fried anything? it could be a variety of problems. if you need to replace the power supply, it shouldnt be hard to do, finding the part(s) is the hard part.
